HPMC Powder Introduction

HPMC is non-ionic cellulose ether produced from natural molecular cellulose through a series of chemical changes. They are characterized by solubility in water, water retention, stable PH value, surface activity, reversibility from gelling and solving in different temperatures, thickening, binding, film-forming, lubricating, and mols resistance.

HPMC Powder Functions

The use of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is similar to other cellulose ethers. It is mainly used as a dispersant, suspending agent, thickener, emulsifier, stabilizer, and adhesive in various fields. It is superior to other cellulose ethers in terms of solubility, dispersibility, transparency, and enzyme resistance.

In the food and pharmaceutical industries, it is used as an additive. Because of its adhesiveness, film-forming properties, thickening and dispersing in liquids, preventing of oil penetration, and retaining moisture, it is used as an adhesive, thickener, dispersant, Relief agent, stabilizer, and emulsifier. It is non-toxic, has no nutritional value, and does not undergo metabolic changes.

In addition, HPMC has applications in synthetic resin polymerization, petrochemicals, ceramics, papermaking, leather, cosmetics, coatings, building materials, and photosensitive printing plates.
