Chrysophanol Description
Chrysophanol is an orange-yellow needle-like crystal, soluble in methanol ethanol. Chrysophanol is mainly derived from Polygonum multiflorum, rhubarb, cassia, hyssop, and chuanxiong. Chrysophanol has antibacterial and anti-cough and anti-aging effects.
Chrysophanol is a trihydroxyanthraquinone that is chrysazin with a methyl substituent at C-3.
