Oxytetracycline HCL is a tetracycline antibiotic derived from Streptomyces rimosus. It targets gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and several Mycoplasma species. Oxytetracycline has been used to study its resistance gene, otrA and in fluorescence analysis of liver cells.
