Lutetium Aluminum (LuAG) Phosphor Powder Description

The crystal structure of LuAG is stable, and due to the high atomic number, Lu has a higher stopping power against high-energy rays. LuAG can serve as a fine scintillation matrix material.

Our LED phosphors can help in making displays with a high color gamut for LCD manufacturers. It delivers the best color realism brought to the screen and provides corresponding materials that match high performance color filters. This series of phosphors is an excellent LED phosphor material with outstanding stability and efficiency. This series of phosphors can be applied in red LED packages or combined with other red or yellow phosphors to package warm white or special light LEDs.

Applications of Lutetium Aluminum Phosphor Powder

  • Human lighting: Light for human natural clocks
  • General lighting: Retail, residential, and professional lighting
  • Backlighting: For smartphones, monitors, televisions, etc.
  • Internal and external applications in auto segments

Features of Lutetium Aluminum Phosphor Powder

  • High Light Output: LuAG Phosphor Powder is endorsed to have a high brilliance of light output, which holds the efficiency of conversion of ionizing radiation to easily detectable light signals. This feature is very important in the aspect of precision in scintillation detectors.
  • High Energy Resolution: LuAG, with its excellent energy resolution and fast decay time, will provide for accurate measurement and imaging of radiations, hence setting new benchmarks in scientific, medical, and industrial applications.
  • High Density: The high density of LuAG ensures that it provides excellent stopping power for ionizing radiations, thus promising high radiation detection sensitivity as well as accuracy.
  • Thermal Stability: In the presence of high temperatures too, LuAG does not lose its thermal stability, thus adding to the performance attribute for challenging applications.

Lutetium Aluminum (LuAG) Phosphor Powder Applications:

  • Radiation Detection: LuAG Phosphor Powder serves as the building block for scintillation detectors and is widely used in the areas of gamma-ray spectroscopy, positron emission tomography (PET), computed tomography (CT) scans, and radiation therapy.
  • Solid-State Lighting: LuAG is used as a phosphor solid-state lighting device, creating high-quality white light prepared for application in both LED-based lighting and displays.
  • Medical Imaging: In the field of medical imaging, LuAG is used to make the diagnostic tools more precise in diagnosis, such as gamma cameras used during the process.
